THE SAL SQUADRON 455
TIRADO-POPP MEMORIAL AWARD

Congrats Nip!

SQUADRON MEMBER HAROLD "NIP" MANNESS
IS 1ST RECEIPIENT OF ANNUAL SQUADRON AWARD!

Congratulations are in order for Squadron 455 member and 2011-12 Squadron Sergeant-of-Arms,
Harold "NIP" Manness for becoming the first receipient of the newly created annual
Squadron 455 Tirado-Popp Memorial Award. The award was created by the squadron in memory of
two lost brethren who touched the lives of the squadron and the entire Post 455 Legion Family,
Steve Tirado and Mike Popp. Both of whom had shown extreme dedication to the squadron and post and
whose lives were lost too soon. Nip has shown the same dedication to the squadron and post as the award's
namesakes had shown. He accepted his award with a plaque, medal and a dinner for two at the Post Family
Installation Dinner on May 16, 2011 presented to him from Squadron Commander, Dave Page.
Any Post 455 family member is eligible for the annual award.
